Product Detail

Abaca, also known as Manila hemp, is derived from the leaf stalks of the abaca plant, a close relative of the banana. This natural fiber is renowned for its strength, flexibility, and resilience, making it an ideal choice for creating stunning and long-lasting rugs.

As rug size increases, the motif, pattern, and border will scale with size, therefore the final product may differ slightly as shown online.
Colors are subject to a 5-15% shade band (difference in colorfastness) due to the hand-made nature of the product.

Care Instructions

Regular Cleaning: Vacuum your abaca rug regularly to remove dirt and debris. Use a vacuum without a beater bar to prevent fiber damage.
Spot Cleaning: Promptly clean spills with a dry cloth by blotting the area. Avoid rubbing to prevent fibers from fraying.
Deep Cleaning: For a thorough clean, professional rug cleaning services are recommended to preserve the integrity of the natural fibers.
Avoid Moisture: Keep your abaca rug in a dry area. Prolonged exposure to moisture can weaken the fibers and cause mildew.
