Each of our rugs is handmade in India from natural materials, using techniques passed down through generations. Because they are crafted by hand, every rug has slight inconsistencies or unique details that make it one of a kind. Sizes may vary by 1–3 inches in either direction, and colors may shift by 5–15% from what you see online. Motifs, borders, and patterns also scale with size, so the final piece may differ slightly from photos. These natural variations are part of authentic craftsmanship. All of our rugs are produced responsibly with no child labor, supporting the artisans who create them. To extend the life of your rug, we recommend using a felt rug pad.
Every cowhide rug is hand-selected and arrives finished and ready to use. For care at home, simply shake out or lightly vacuum with a non-beater brush attachment. Spot clean with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry immediately. To maintain the hide’s natural luster, brush in the direction of the hair with a soft-bristle brush as needed. Avoid soaking or steam cleaning. With minimal care, your cowhide rug will remain a timeless and durable accent in your home.
